2022 Japanese Whiskey Day!
Less than 100 years after the 1 April 1929 launch of Suntory Whisky (commonly known as “White Tag”), Japan's first genuine domestic whisky, Japanese whisky has received worldwide acclaim.
1 April was designated as Japanese Whisky Day, with the aim of informing as many people as possible about the history of the birth of Japanese whisky, the efforts and thoughts of our predecessors and the current boom that is sweeping the world.
To celebrate such a Japanese Whisky Day,
From 1 (Fri) to 3 (Sun) April, bar hotel Hakone Kozan will host a three-day event.
The bar will also offer a special Japanese whisky made from Tsunuki New Pot, originally cask-aged at the Mars Tsunuki Distillery, the southernmost whisky distillery on the mainland.
In addition, its global reputation has improved in recent years,
Japanese whisky, which is becoming rarer and rarer, is available at a special price for three days only.
