As part of our aim to be a one-of-a-kind establishment, constantly offering new experiences and evolutions, we have now added the extremely rare single malt Scotch whisky Glen Grant 65 Years, limited to 151 bottles worldwide, to our collection.
This rare gem will be on display exclusively for guests at the bar, the main bar in the bar hotel Hakone Kozan.

Glen Grant 65 Year Old is a superb product from Glen Grant, a long-established distillery in Speyside, Scotland, that has been matured for over half a century.
Distilled in 1958 and matured in French oak sherry casks for 65 years, the whisky developed a rich, complex aroma, deep richness and a mellow, delicate taste.
It is a “visionary drop”, of which only 151 bottles exist in the world, and has attracted the attention of whisky connoisseurs and collectors alike.
This rare Glen Grant 65 Year Old is bottled by Gordon & MacPhail, a long-established Scotch whisky company, and is the culmination of their exceptional cask management.
The design of the bottle is also worth mentioning.
Completely handmade by world-renowned designer John Galvin and premium glass studio Glasstrom, it represents 'life sprouting and growing from a seed', inspired by the distillery's beautiful gardens.
The Möbius wheel-like cradle made of fine cherry wood symbolises eternity and houses a hand-blown glass decanter at its centre, decorated with a delicate carving of the brand's iconic Himalayan Blue Poppy.

Nose: The warmth of ripe fruit and cinnamon is layered with ginger and deep oak notes. When you put your nose close to it, you can also detect gorgeous notes of vanilla and toffee.
Taste: a complex yet perfect harmony of luscious tropical fruit, rich toffee and a hint of smokiness that fills the mouth. The roundness and richness seem to melt slowly on the tongue.
Lingering: rich sweetness and pleasant spices linger for a long time, leaving an unforgettable impression. The subtle hints of spice and oak give the experience of more than half a century.
