Born in Kyoto, with a grandfather, the late dyeing artist Saisaburo Saito, and a father, the contemporary kimono artist Sansai Saito.
Born into a family that built the foundations of modern dyeing, she has been pursuing fashion that matches contemporary spaces since her debut as a kimono artist at the youngest age of 27. He advocates the 'evolution of tradition' and 'a lifestyle of enjoying harmony', and his talents extend to the production of products and interiors. A regular member of the Tokyo Council of Fashion Designers, she opened a flagship shop with a café at GINZA SIX in 2017.
